Society Founder - Frank Wappat
Frank Wappat - The Founder of the Society is a great fan of the Billy Ternant Orchestra. A fellow geordie just like Billy, he was also a personal Friend of both Billy Ternent and his wife Eileen - indeed it was Eileens wish that Frank made available to Society Members the rare material of Billy which she bequeathed to Frank in her Will.
Frank has been with the BBC for 39 years and is the longest serving presenter on BBC Newcastle having been with the Station since it opened. A double SONY Award Winning Broadcaster, Frank's Nostalgia Show continues to attract a large audience - You can hear Frank every Sunday Morning 6-7.30 am with his Inspirational Show, then he is back at 7-10pm with his Nostalgia Show featuring music from the 30's 40's 50's, Jazz, Swing, Dance and Big Band and vocals of that era.

President - Jo Marney
Jo Marney a Londoner was a Singer with the Billy Ternent Orchestra. She is currently President of the Coda Club and we are delighted she accepted the offer to become our Society President.
Jo offers the Society a greater insight into Billy Ternent having worked alongside him and his Band - and having been a Band Member, Employee and personal friend of both Bill and Eileen - we couldn't have a better President
Jo features on some of the Rare Material on the CD's of Billy and the Band - a fantastic Singer - she is very popular with the listeners on Frank Wappat's Nostalgia Show, where she is featured regularly.
Membership Secretary - Susan Wappat
Susan Wappat is an the name suggests, our Founder Frank Wappat's wife, having worked alongside him in his brodcast commitments for longer than she care to remember.
A great fan of music from the halcyon era, she also shares Franks enthusiasm for the Billy Ternant Orchestra.
She answers listeners queries and deals with all Franks correspondance, so it was inevitable that she would fall into the role of secretary of the Society, and as secretary, she is on hand to deal with all members queries.

Colin is our Webmaster, and a personal friend of both Susan and Frank, An enthusiastic web-designer, Colin has built and maintained all of Frank Wappat's Sites - check them out -frankwappat.co.uk and broadcastrecords.com.
